Kremlin Says U.S. Still Withholding Results of Florida Talks
Peskov informed journalists that despite continuous contact between the nations, "the results haven't reached us yet," emphasizing that the Florida negotiations "essentially concluded just yesterday," a state-run news agency reported.
When questioned about mutual commitments to avoid "megaphone diplomacy," Peskov refused further comment, stating only that Moscow had not received concrete statements from Kyiv regarding the discussions.
The remarks followed three days of intensive consultations in Florida where US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law and informal adviser Jared Kushner met with Ukrainian officials before conducting a phone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Media reported that Washington is exploring a new approach to resolving territorial issues in its negotiations with Ukraine.
In previous statements, Russian officials indicated they await substantive proposals on security arrangements or territorial settlements emerging from the latest US-Ukraine consultation round.
