Gunned Man Gets Arrested Outside CDU Headquarters in Berlin
The man, reportedly around 40 years old and a German speaker, was carrying a knife or sword and had called emergency services, threatening to commit suicide and claiming he had explosives in his jacket. Police secured a large perimeter around the site and engaged specially trained negotiators to persuade him to surrender.
Ultimately, special police units subdued the individual in front of the CDU headquarters. Details regarding his identity and the exact weapons involved have not yet been released.
