Turkish, Saudi FMs Discuss US-Israel Offensive on Iran
The two ministers reportedly focused on diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the conflict.
Reports indicate that hostilities intensified after February 28, when Israel and the US conducted joint attacks on Iran, resulting in over 1,200 casualties, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military forces. Tehran also closed the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for oil tankers, which has increased shipping and insurance costs and contributed to rising global oil prices.
